Ψαραντώνης - Η Τίγρη (The Tiger)

The Tiger

I have a wild and ravening tiger in me
that keeps waiting for me
and I've also been long awaiting for her
I hate her and she hates me, she wants to kill me
but I hope in time, we shall become friends.

She has her teeth in my heart and her nails on my mind
And for my own good, I keep fighting for her
All the venues of the world, she makes me hate
so she can gain my singing, for my deepest grief.

(Instrumental part)

Mountains, ravines and cliffs she urges me to cross
so I can embrace her, in her wildest dance
And during the cold nights, when I think of her cages
she offers me her mask, so I can put it on.

And some times, when drunk we collapse
almost like beloved friends
we fall asleep
And this silence, resembles the one before the storm
when its really close, the moment that she will strike.
